About Me

Hi, my name is Sydney! I am a student at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, Class of 2025. I’ve created this website to give you a little more information on who I am, what I am looking for, and how you might fit into that.

I grew up in Baldwin County, AL, then attended Auburn University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences in 2021. While at Auburn, I met my husband Jordan and we got our two doodles, Dreamer and Crew.

In school, I have served as the chair of the Continuing Education committee for our ASDA chapter and am involved in the dental business club, esthetic dentistry club, and am a student member of the Academy of General Dentistry. In my free time, I love to spend time with family, hang out at the beach, and bake lots of sweet treats!

Meet my family

This is my husband, Jordan, and our two dogs Dreamer and Crew. Jordan and I met during our time at Auburn University and married in December of 2022. Dreamer and Crew are full of energy and surprises and love to keep us on our toes. As a family, we love to cook together, take trips to the dog park, and more recently, I’ve started to enjoy joining Jordan for a nice round of golf!

My purpose

My desire to become a dentist began the summer after high school when I spent a day with my hometown dentist. The way that he connected with his patients showed me that dentistry isn’t just a job, but a way to be a positive influence in your community, and truly care for your patient’s well-being. I strive to connect with my community through my practice.

There are many reasons that I decided to pursue dentistry as a career, but among those at the top of the list is practice ownership. I began preparing for practice ownership soon after deciding to pursue this career by listening to podcasts by successful practice owners, taking hours of continuing education, and reading many books on the topics of business and leadership. Throughout this journey, I have learned the importance of persistence, leadership, and a commitment to continued learning for the benefit of the patients that I serve and the people that I work with.

WHAT I VALUE

Community

A sense of community is at the forefront of my vision. In my practice, I want community to extend passed our walls and into the area in which we practice. I strive to create an environment in which our team enjoys working, our patients enjoy being treated, and one that our city feels the presence of.

Service

Service is a personal goal of mine that I strive to make a pillar of my practice. In addition to always keeping service to our patients at the top of our priorities, service in our community is just as important. My personal service area of interest is working with people with disabilities.

Empowerment

The task of empowering those around you to strive for more and to reach their full potential is the hallmark of a true leader. I strive to empower my team to reach their personal and professional goals, and empower my patients to take control of their own oral health.

What I’m looking for

I believe that the trust, dedication, and relationships between a dentist in private practice and his or her patients cannot be beaten. While I know that I am still new to dentistry and practice ownership, I am eager to learn from those who have done it well. I would love to sit down with you to hear about your challenges and successes and learn from you however I can. I would be honored for you to consider giving me the opportunity to continue the legacy that you have built, and ensure that your patients are given the best care possible by someone who is truly committed to their care.

If you’re beginning to think about hanging up your handpiece, I would love to speak with you to see if our goals align.

Why Me?

  • I understand that you have built a connection between you and your staff and want to ensure that they are taken care of. I understand your staff are likely people that you’ve spent years working along side, seeing them and their families grow, and that you care about who they will work with in the future if you were to sell your practice. You can trust that I respect their knowledge and the hard work that they have put into the practice alongside you!

  • I was born and raised in the area, so I have a deep connection with the community. I care about the future of our home and will be an active member of the community. Originally from North Baldwin County, I spent the first 18 years of my life in and around Baldwin County and visiting family members in Pensacola regularly. I have always loved the area and am so excited to return after finishing dental school.

  • I will continue to grow what you have built over the course of your career. I know that you have put your heart and soul into your practice and treating your patients and want to see that in the hands of someone who will take the care necessary to ensure that your legacy is continued.
